Recently Google announced the Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) rolling out for public beta testing on Nexus and Pixel devices.

Google said that the latest beta version 7.1.2 is available for the eligible device and will receive the update soon to those who has enrolled in the beta testing program for android.

The List of devices which are eligible for this beta version are:

  • Google Pixel XL
  • Google Pixel
  • Google Pixel C
  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus 5X
  • Nexus Player 


If you have any of the above devices and would like to enroll for the beta testing update can enroll at Android beta program. If you don’t wanna enroll and knows to install the system image then you can download the image from Android developers.

Looking at the list we can find that it’s an end for Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Both the device is not eligible for 7.1.2 beta update and hence won’t be receiving any future updates. Google’s flagship phones Pixel and Pixel XL will be receiving its first update since launch, as it was shipped with Android 7.1 out of the box.

There is no news about new features added to the 7.1.2 update. As it is said to be the bug fixed and stability update mainly and also added the voLTE support to the certain region where it was unavailable. If there are any news about the new features added to the software we will post about it.
